My favourites are the Eye on Springfield’s (particularly the one showing the zoo animals walking into Krusty Burger) and McBain, although the funniest ones were mainly in the first three or four season’s. (My favourite was Mendozaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!).

It’s weird that I find so many of these pop culture references funny, saying as I was only a kid during The Simpsons’ heyday, and many are US specific. Many I’m completely missing the meaning but laughing anyway?!

And, although I can’t exactly draw a graph in the comments, my take on the rise and fall of Simpsons is something like this, with 5 as average and 10 as perfect, and just imagine a line of best fit:

Season 1: _____6
Season 2: _______8
Season 3: ________9
Season 4: ________9
Season 5: _______8
Season 6: _______8
Season 7: _____6
Season 8: ______7
Season 9: _____6

And everything after this point is crap, save for the occasional inspired episode
